Pobo Autonomous Baby Jogger

Ask any women and you'll be told that one of the hardest accomplishments in life is to stay fit after having a kid.

Through our extensive interviews with parents at a preschool (pre-kindergarten), we were brought to a conclusion that although extremely difficult to maintain healthy habits like jogging in the park with a baby around, motivation from mothers to do so has always been high. And this is of course what drove the company BabyJogger to its success, offering single wheeled baby joggers for moms who want to keep their body in shape while staying around their child.

However, non of the people we spoke to actually personally owned a baby jogger, this shows that market penetration is far from enough. why? The two main reasons was because they found it to have too little protection, and that it limits their enjoyment from jogging because they felt constrained by manually pushing.

This is why we made Pobo, a park owned public autonomous baby jogger that works just like your favorite path-planning jogging app. Except it physically drives within your field of view autonomously, keeping the right distance consistently, and your child absolutely safe. This way, not only does the mom have a better reason to keep running, the kid also gets to share the experience and not to mention the fun of an electric car (a known fact that kids love).

This was a group project of five, of which I was mainly in charge of design and user research. To learn more about our Business model, Market research, User analysis, Design, UIUX, Testing and Validation, Teamwork etc... Click here to download our Report
